RCMP Cessna Caravan 208 - Floats - Registration:C-GMPB
Repainted with permission from Dennis Wasnich
April 2000

I would first like to thank Dennis Wasnich for giving his okay to do this repaint. This aircraft is part of a project to document the fleet used by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. C-GMPB is based in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada and as of January 2000, is the only amphibian flown by the RCMP.

I am including Dennis' aircraft specifications. Please note that this aircraft was originally designed for FS98. I used FS2000 to do the repaint and it shows up well. The work was done on a Pentium 200MMX, 64Mb RAM and a Sound Blaster 3DBlaster Banshee 16Mb. Handling is very smooth. For some reason however, there is a slight bounce when sitting waiting to start taxying. I don't have the know how to amend the /air file to correct this for FS2000 so I left it rather than mangle Dennis' work. Once the aircraft starts rolling, it stabilizes. If anyone has the expertize to fix this, please pass on the fix.

If you want more information on the RCMP fleet, here are a couple of interesting links, though they are slightly outdated. You will find pictures of some of the aircraft which will be repainted as part of my project.
